Our Mission 

CANCER CARE RESOURCES is a community based service that offers support to anyone in the Portland/Vancouver area who is dealing with cancer. Our staff, composed of oncology trained nurses, social workers and therapists, conducts personal assessments of anyone with a cancer diagnosis in order to help identify problems and help construct a plan to improve their quality of life during this challenging journey.

Many people diagnosed with cancer are focused on medical treatments but are not able to manage the emotional, nutritional or physical impacts brought on by their condition. They may need assistance coping with treatment side effects or access to resources that address financial, social or workplace issues. Some may require guidance with advanced directives. Regardless of their condition or their concern, we welcome the opportunity to work with them.

In addition to personal counseling and evaluations, at CANCER CARE RESOURCES, we offer classes in many aspects of cancer care such as understanding chemotherapy and caregiving strategies. We sponsor survivor retreats and recommend qualified resources for specialized services. And, we have a robust group of survivor volunteers who help us in supporting those we serve.
