(Portland, Ore.)– Cancer Care Resources, an independent community organization with statewide outreach, was doubly recognized for its community outreach as well as for having the largest team at last weekend’s Portland LIVESTRONG® Challenge. The organization received The Lance Armstrong Foundation’s Team Challenge Award given annually to one local cancer survivorship organization that embodies the foundation’s mission and LIVESTRONG® spirit. Cancer Care Resources also received the Team Messenger Award for fielding the largest team—more than 40 members—in Sunday’s Challenge event.
