Sue L. Frymark, RN Executive Director

Sue L. Frymark has been in oncology care for over 30 years providing and developing cancer rehabilitation and support services since 1975, and as a national speaker and consultant in this field. Throughout her career she has been a pioneer and advocate for services for individuals and families coping with cancer, most of that time for Legacy Health System. She has had a longstanding interest in survivorship issues.
“Although much of my career has been hospital based, for some years I have envisioned the need for a community based program, where services were more accessible. Cancer Care Resources allows us as oncology healthcare professionals to partner with cancer survivors and the community, to support those living with cancer.”
Rosemary McDermott, RN, ONC Nurse Coordinator

Rosemary has been in the field of oncology for 28 years working in Legacy Good Samaritan’s Oncology inpatient units, outpatient clinics and then with Northwest Cancer Specialists clinics. Her work has involved early detection, screenings, clinical research, second opinion clinics, inpatient cancer care, cancer rehabilitation and as a chemotherapy infusion nurse. She has c
onsiderable experience in working with women with breast and gynecological cancers.
She currently teaches the “Getting Started …Chemotherapy” classes and family caregiver classes, as well as counsels individuals. She says she “believes in empowering others to become their own advocates.”

Joan Heimbigner Office Manager

Joan has been with Cancer Care Resources since April of 2003. She brings a new zest to the office with her survivorship and new ideas. Joan graduated from the University Of Portland with a degree in Marketing/Management. She had been an Operations Manager for 12 years, before leaving her former job to have her son. She now enjoys working at Cancer Care Resources giving back help and hope to individuals with cancer. As the Office Manager, her job keeps her very busy organizing daily office functions along with announcing new programs, retreats, classes, and special events.

Sara Clay Goodman, LMT, LCSW Coordinator of Social Services and Counseling
Sara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings a body-centered approach to her work; she has specialized in the social work fields of Oncology and Hospice. Prior to becoming a counselor, she was a Massage Therapist, working with athletes and others with chronic pain issues. Sara’s focus is to bring awareness to the present moment, helping her clients slow down and respond to life circumstances with gentleness. She has extensive experience with families, couples, and individuals helping them with loss, adjustment to illness, cancer counseling, end-of-life issues, sexuality, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Cyndi Levine, LPC, LMHC Family Counselor

Cyndi is a licensed counselor in Oregon and Washington and is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. She has twenty years of experience providing counseling services to individuals, children through adults, couples and families. At Cancer Care Resources, she is interested in helping clients explore their concerns and options. When a client is agreeable, she is most passionate about bringing the expressive arts to the therapeutic milieu.

Andrea Moyle, MSW Resources Coordinator & Counselor

Andrea joined CCR in December 2005. She previously worked as an adult and pediatric Medical Social Worker at Oregon Health & Sciences University hospital and continues to provide relief services to the hospital when able. Andrea is a MSW graduate from Portland State University, where she completed the program with honors. Prior to graduate school, Andrea worked as a Policy Development Assistant for Mayor Katz and as a Health & Wellness Resource Coordinator at Lincoln High School through the AmeriCorps volunteer program. Andrea is excited to tackle the challenge of compiling a state oncology resource guide and working directly with cancer patients and their families to provide support.

Laura Rosencrantz
Fitness Director

Laura joined CCR in March of 2006. Laura is the fitness director and coordinates the Inpower program offered by CCR. Laura received her BS in Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Oregon. She obtained her personal trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and her Cancer Exercise Specialist certification from the University of Northern Colorado. Laura previously worked as a personal trainer at the Multnomah Athletic Club. She also spent time training with the Well Fit Cancer Program in Santa Barbara, California. Laura is a strong believer that if you believe, you can achieve.

Marge Bostad Office Assistant

Marge came to Cancer Care Resources as a volunteer after she lost her husband to thymona cancer. As a former business partner, she brings organizational and business skills to the office.

Lisa Wisler Volunteer Coordinator

Lisa joined the team at Cancer Care Resources in early February of 2008, after volunteering for a little over a year. Lisa has many years of experience working as a volunteer, and also coordinating and supervising volunteers during her years teaching elementary school, before moving to Oregon. She is excited to work with the wonderful volunteers at Cancer Care Resources, as well as coordinate outreach events in order to help promote CCR services to the community.
Eugene R. Gregory
Development Officer

Gene has more than thirty years of executive experience in development, beginning at Vanderbilt University. He later served as Vice President at Lewis & Clark College and Centenary College of Louisiana. Most recently, he was Vice President of the Oregon Symphony, and currently is a principal in Gregory & Associates. He has been a frequent speaker on Board development, campaigns, and non-profit fundraising programs. Gene received his BA from Willamette University and PhD from Vanderbilt University. He is married with a daughter.
